Lost at Sea: The Enigmatic Disappearance of Titanic Tourist Submarine and Its Intrepid Explorers
The tourist submarine, Titanic, has reportedly lost contact in the Atlantic Ocean. The submarine was carrying five passengers, including a pilot and four "mission specialists" who intended to document the iconic shipwreck that sank over a century ago.
The rescue operation is being conducted in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean by the tourism company OceanGate, involving archaeologists and marine biologists.
Contact with the submarine was lost after one hour and 45 minutes when it submerged towards the Titanic wreckage site on Sunday (June 18, 2023), local time.
The search crew is exploring an area twice the size of Connecticut in waters that are 4 km deep.
The submarine was reported to have 96 hours' worth of oxygen supply starting from Sunday (June 18) at 06:00.
As of now, there have been no recent updates regarding the whereabouts of the Titanic tourist submarine and its five passengers.
